Running a business in Colorado? You might be missing out on some significant tax benefits if you’re located in an Enterprise Zone.
Enterprise Zone Program
The state of Colorado created the Enterprise Zone Program to help boost business and job growth in areas that need it most — places with higher unemployment rates, lower incomes, or slower economic growth.
If your business is in one of Colorado’s 16 Enterprise Zones, here’s what you could qualify for. These credits could add up to real money back — money you can reinvest in your business.
- State Income Tax Credits for certain business investments (like equipment, job creation, or building improvements).
- Sales and Use Tax Exemptions on specific purchases for your business.
- Extra Tax Credits if you donate to approved local projects (these projects aim to support economic growth in your area).
